    How we cover East Anglia

East Anglia is a long run from both of our bases. Norwich and Ipswich are each roughly three hours by road from Rotherham, and Ipswich is a similar run from Aldermaston round the M25 and up the A12. We therefore offer same-day or overnight emergency cover rather than a local callout, and we send whichever van is nearer when you ring. This page covers Norwich, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Great Yarmouth, King's Lynn and Bury St Edmunds. Cambridge is closer to both depots and has its own page.

Food, distribution and port freight dominate the industrial calls. Warehouses, agricultural processors and haulier yards use sectional doors, high-speed doors and dock levellers hard, and a failed dock leveller stops a loading bay. We carry common operator, spring, strap and dock parts so that a first visit can finish the repair.

City and market-town retail is a mix of roller shutters and automatic entrances, from the shopping centres of Norwich and Ipswich to the high streets in Suffolk and north Norfolk. Out-of-hours access is the norm and we book to it.

Routes shape the day-sheet. The A11 and A14 are the main ways in from the south and west, the A47 links Norwich with King's Lynn and Great Yarmouth, and the A12 and A14 tie Ipswich to Felixstowe, Colchester and the M25. If you have sites in more than one Norfolk or Suffolk town, give us all of them on the first call and we can often plan a single trip.

    Door repair in Norwich

Norwich city-centre work centres on Chapelfield (NR2) and Riverside Retail Park (NR1), with automatic entrances and shutters around Castle Quarter. Industrial and trade calls come from Sweet Briar (NR3), Hellesdon and the Airport Industrial Estate (NR6) and Broadland Business Park at Thorpe St Andrew (NR7), with Longwater at Costessey (NR5) and Norwich Research Park (NR4) to the west. Access is by the A47 southern bypass, the A11 from Thetford and the Broadland Northway to the north. Dereham (NR19) and Thetford (IP24) fit onto the same run.

    Door repair in Ipswich

Ipswich retail and leisure calls come from Sailmakers (IP1), the waterfront (IP4) and Ransomes Europark beside the A14 on the south-east edge of the town (IP3). Trade and industrial calls are concentrated at Whitehouse (IP1), Hadleigh Road (IP2) and Cliff Quay beside the port (IP3), and the A14 and Orwell Bridge connect them to Felixstowe and the A12. Martlesham (IP5), Woodbridge (IP12) and Stowmarket (IP14) are on the same run.

    Ipswich postcodes: IP1, IP2, IP3, IP4, IP5, IP12, IP14

    Door repair in Felixstowe

The Port of Felixstowe (IP11) is the UK's largest container port, and much of the surrounding work is haulier yards, container depots and warehouses along the A14 approach and around Trimley. Roller shutters, sectional doors and dock equipment take heavy daily cycles there, and a failed door can hold up a loading bay. Hamilton Road in the town centre adds retail shutters. Felixstowe is about half an hour beyond Ipswich on the A14, so the two are usually planned together.

    Felixstowe postcodes: IP11

    Door repair in Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth and Gorleston (NR30, NR31) combine seafront and town-centre retail with an industrial base serving the port and the offshore energy sector at South Denes. Trade calls come from Gapton Hall and Harfreys (NR31) and the Southtown and Gorleston estates, and the A47 runs about 20 miles back to Norwich. Lowestoft (NR32, NR33) is to the south on the A12 and can be joined to the same visit.

    Great Yarmouth postcodes: NR30, NR31, NR32, NR33

    Door repair in King's Lynn

King's Lynn (PE30) is the western edge of the region. Industrial work comes from Hardwick (PE30) and Saddlebow (PE34) and from the Port of King's Lynn on the Ouse, with retail around the Vancouver Quarter and Hardwick Retail Park. The A47 and A10 link it to Norwich, Peterborough and Cambridge, which suits the A1 route up from Rotherham.

    King's Lynn postcodes: PE30, PE34

Door repair in Bury St Edmunds

Bury St Edmunds (IP32, IP33) sits on the A14 between Cambridge and Ipswich, a convenient midpoint for Suffolk. Industrial and trade calls come from Moreton Hall and Suffolk Business Park (IP32), and town-centre retail sits around The Arc shopping centre. Haverhill (CB9), Newmarket (CB8) and Thetford can join the same run.

Bury St Edmunds postcodes: IP32, IP33

    East Anglia door repair questions

How fast can you reach Norwich or Ipswich?
Emergency cover is same-day or overnight. Both are roughly a three-hour drive, from Rotherham for Norwich and from either depot for Ipswich, so we send whichever van is nearer. Call 01709 525 401 for a realistic arrival time.
Do you cover the Port of Felixstowe and the haulier yards around it?
Yes. Roller shutters, sectional doors and dock equipment at warehouses, container depots and haulier yards in Felixstowe and Trimley are a regular call, usually on the same run as Ipswich.
Can one visit cover Norwich and Great Yarmouth?
Often, yes. Great Yarmouth is about 20 miles from Norwich on the A47, so give us both sites when you ring and we can plan them as one day-sheet.
Is Cambridge covered on this page?
Cambridge has its own page because it is nearer to both depots. Peterborough, Ely and Newmarket are usually planned with Cambridge rather than with Norfolk.
Do you do planned maintenance and installations in Norfolk and Suffolk?
Yes, as planned visits. Surveys, installations and planned preventative maintenance are booked in advance and grouped by town to keep travel down.
